As long as you've got an HDMI output to feed it, the receiver should pick it up for display on your TV, just as if you were connected via wire. I haven't got one myself, so I can't vouch for the quality, but it appears to be a more "universal" solution that wouldn't require any sort of driver or program to function. If you don't have a free HDMI output, what kind of video output do you have? It is possible to convert VGA & Display Port to HDMI, but it will require purchase of an adapter in most cases.ĮDIT: In case you don't have Miracast/WiDi, I just found this device which looks as if it may also fit the bill. Do you have a free HDMI output on your PC? If so, then an inexpensive HDMI->HDMI cable would be the fastest/easiest method to get your screen either cloned or extended onto your TV. If you're willing to deal with a wired connection, I can see that your LG55un69 has 3 HDMI inputs. You'd be limited to only those apps which enable casting (Google Chrome mostly), but I can confirm it does work. One options that would definitely work is a Google Chromecast. You'll still need to struggle through getting Miraclecast or gnome-network-displays working.but that would at least make it possible? If you *don't* have Miracast or WiDi support, then for true wireless screen display, you'd need an adapter - something like this one ought to work. There are 2 references I find: either Miraclecast (in development) or gnome-network-displays (available in your software manager) have been reported to work. Right now, options are somewhat limited unfortunately. If it does, then it's a matter of getting something working on Mint to send the signal. Do you know if your TV has wireless display capability? I'm not seeing anything to indicate Miracast or WiDi support on the LG55un69. Thanks - it's not quite what is needed, but it's a start.
